Resource Scheduling Officer

About The Role

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to be part of our Resource Planning & Optimisation team as a Resource Scheduling Officer to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As a Resource Scheduling Officer, you will be responsible for the planning and assignment of engineers and mechanics rosters for aircraft maintenance operations, in accordance with applicable regulations and policies. You will support continuous improvement of the rostering process to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient rosters which support employee engagement and productivity, while ensuring the highest possible safety standards.

Specific Responsibilities For The Role Include

• Complete rostering allocation processes including planning and assignment of shifts, overtime, training and leave ensuring operational coverage and compliance while maximizing stakeholder satisfaction.
• Analyse roster scenarios and statistics to provide management with recommendations to improve roster quality.
• Prepare roster reports and analysis to communicate rostering results to management and stakeholders.
• Identify rostering improvement opportunities in order to ensure effective, efficient and compliant systems and processes.
• Perform timely updates of roster documentation and communication to ensure that there are no gaps or inconsistencies in information.
• Complete systems testing to ensure seamless implementation of rostering system and solutions.
• Resolve stakeholders’ queries and concerns in compliance with service level agreements to ensure maximized stakeholder satisfaction and communicated resolution.

About You

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Relevant College or University qualifications to a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in rostering and resource optimization.
• Experience using advanced rostering or resource management software preferred.
• Aviation industry experience or knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations preferred.
• Project management knowledge is desirable.
• Good numerical skills and knowledge of statistics
• Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Highly developed reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and strong desire for success.
• Mindset of continuous improvement, automation, innovation and AI adoption.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.
