Introducing the Network Engineering team at Trainline 👋

The Networks team is the backbone of our organization's connectivity. As a mission critical part of the Trainline business, the team is tasked with managing the LAN, WAN, WiFi, internet, firewalls, and leveraging automation for cloud networking. We ensure seamless and secure communication across all levels of our infrastructure.

With expertise in network design, configuration and optimization, we guarantee high-performance, reliable and scalable networks. We are heavy proponents of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and by utilizing these automation tools, we streamline operations, reduce manual errors and enhance the efficiency of our cloud networking infrastructure.

From troubleshooting connectivity issues to implementing cutting-edge security measures, the team is dedicated to maintaining the integrity, reliability and security of our network infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted operations and facilitating the smooth flow of data across our organization.

As a Network Engineer at Trainline, you will...

• Support the office networking for 4 sites and a data centre.
• Support and maintain Trainline production platform cloud environments, predominantly in AWS.
• Supplier management with circuit providers.
• Maintain Public DNS and domain management.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

• A good understanding of TCP/IP, L2/L3 networking and firewalls
• Knowledge of AWS networking and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and wireless (or Meraki).
• Knowledge of Palo Alto or ASA firewalls
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven Experience working in a Network Engineering team
