Job purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced People and Culture Lead to oversee and enhance our human resources operations in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be fully knowledgeable about UAE labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all HR processes. This role involves managing onboarding and offboarding procedures, overseeing hiring documentation, maintaining employee data, and administering payroll systems. The People and Culture Lead will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture and driving organizational success.
What You’ll Bring In:
Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure all HR practices align with UAE labor laws and regulations, including visa processing, employment contracts, and work permits.
- Stay updated on changes in UAE labor policies and advise management on necessary adjustments.
Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Develop and implement structured onboarding programs to integrate new hires effectively.
- Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews, knowledge transfer, and final settlements.
Hiring Documentation:
- Prepare and manage job offer letters, employment contracts, and other required documentation in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) for employee registrations.
Data Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate and secure employee records in HR systems, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
- Regularly audit HR data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Payroll Administration:
- Oversee payroll processing, including salary calculations, benefits administration, and compliance with the UAE's Wages Protection System (WPS).
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of employee salaries and benefits.
Culture and Engagement:
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the organization's values.
- Develop initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
Administration:
- Oversee general office administration and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and facilities, ensuring a well-maintained and professional work environment.
- Liaise with vendors, service providers, and building management as needed.
- Assist in organizing internal meetings, training sessions, and company events.
- Support document management, including filing, correspondence, and archiving.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll software.
