Job Project Description

The client is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. The mission of the T&S Foundations team is to deliver fast, secure, reliable, and scalable platforms that power company's business use cases. As a cornerstone of our organization, we manage critical foundational systems that support and empower Identity management, underwriting and Fraud prevention . We manage platforms such as - the external vendor integration platform, credit report services, user step-up service, Counters and rate limiters, state machine libraries for risk evaluation, and more. Our current primary focus is rapidly developing external data and vendor integrations on our external vendor integration

platform to support international expansion. We are also integrating these data points into company decisioning and risk engine to enhance key processes such as identity verification, fraud detection, and credit underwriting.

Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.4. Responsibilities And Requirements

What You'll Do

• With the support of your team’s tech lead and manager, you will break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate with other teams and external data vendors to ensure timely delivery of your work.
• You will design, build, enhance, and scale external data and vendor integrations to support international expansion.
• Develop and enhance our external vendor integration platform to streamline onboarding and data flow.
• You will Integrate external data sources into company decisioning and risk engine to strengthen identity verification, fraud detection, and credit underwriting.
• Monitor and improve integration performance, ensuring high availability and low latency for critical decision-making.
• You will support your peers and stakeholders in the development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, analytics by participating in ideation, articulating technical constraints, and partnering on decisions that properly consider risks and trade-offs.
• You will support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting “keep the lights on” & - on-call efforts.
• You will optimize data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure seamless, reliable, and secure integrations.

Must Have

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Skills: 2.5+ years Kotlin (Java), Python (read code, fix minor bugs), AWS, Redis, MySQL and Kubernetes. Good English!!!
• You have a total of 2.5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer.
• You have experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems and are proficient in Kotlin
• Additionally, you have working knowledge of Python.
• You are familiar with the building blocks of distributed systems, and the technologies like AWS, Redis, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• You are comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback to other engineers through code reviews.
• You have mastered taking a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, and executing on it by writing clear, easily understood, well tested and extensible code.
• Your experience demonstrates that you take ownership, proactively seeking feedback from your team, your manager, and your stakeholders.
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team.
