Network Engineer

• NV2 Security Clearance
• Several network engineers required - APS6/EL1 levels

We are on the lookout for several Network Engineers to join our federal government deparmtent, providing network engineering services to support critical infrastructure. These positions are pivotal in ensuring the design, implementation, and maintenance of Gateway and CDS systems are carried out to the highest standard, guaranteeing the reliability, security, and performance of government IT infrastructure.

Multiple roles available at the Junior and Senior Levels.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide support for network troubleshooting, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Address complex network performance issues promptly and effectively.
• Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation for network architectures, configurations, and processes.
• Prepare regular reporting and provide advice to stakeholders.
• Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other infrastructure components.
• Stay informed of emerging technologies and best practices in network engineering and recommend improvements.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Strong experience with Cisco based networking technologies - routing/switching, network security, voice and video technologies, and ACI.
• Familiarity with Cross domain concepts, architectures, and technologies.
• Knowledge of Australian Government IT policies, standards, and frameworks.
• Experience working with government agencies or in highly regulated environments.
• Demonstrated experience commensurate with the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) level 5 or above.
• Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance.
