Embedded Software Engineer – Safe Linux for Automotive Systems

We’re looking for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our client's team in Paris, where they're developing next-generation automotive software platforms focused on ADAS and Infotainment.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full embedded software stack—from bootloaders and Linux kernel development to real-time operating systems and containerized user space environments. You’ll collaborate with global technology teams, Tier 1 suppliers, OEMs, and open-source communities to deliver high-performance, safety-critical automotive systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and optimize Safe Linux software for embedded automotive systems
- Contribute across the stack: bootloaders, kernel, device drivers, user space (Linux/Android)
- Enable real-time automotive applications including ADAS and multimedia features
- Optimize power and performance, identify system bottlenecks, and implement robust solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support system integration for automotive-grade safety and security
- Debug complex problems across software layers and improve long-term maintainability and testability
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with C/C++ programming in embedded Linux environments
- Strong knowledge of Linux OS fundamentals, kernel architecture, and driver development
- Experience with real-time Linux, debugging tools (GDB, T32, perf, trace), and build systems (Yocto)
- Familiarity with ARM-based platforms, embedded board bring-up, and hardware/software interface design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ADAS or Infotainment systems in automotive software
- Knowledge of bootloaders, virtualization, and multi-domain system design
- Familiarity with ASIL-B, Automotive SPICE, or similar safety-critical development standards
- Contributions to open-source initiatives, especially in embedded or automotive Linux projects
- Understanding of performance estimation and optimization for memory, bandwidth, and power
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across international teams
