Our client is seeking a Lead Developer to manage a technical team of four and drive the development of their software platform. In this role, you will report directly to the Founder/CEO.

The company focuses on expanding consumer brands through e-commerce and retail channels across global markets. They specialize in scaling both their own and third-party brands, leveraging a comprehensive platform that optimizes brand performance and enhances supply chain efficiency through data-driven strategies and AI technology. Their platform integrates data from various sources, providing a holistic view of business performance and enabling efficient management of operations. It acts as a critical integration layer between their proprietary software and third-party SaaS solutions, helping to manage millions in revenue, a high volume of orders, and thousands of products across global supply chains and sales channels.

You will work with a talented team of developers and data engineers to build services and integrations that make the most of their data. The platform is built on a modern AWS technology stack, including services like EventBridge, Lambda, Redshift, SageMaker, and OpenSearch. The ideal candidate will have experience managing technical projects and hands-on expertise with cloud-based integrations, data pipelines, and event-driven architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the platform’s roadmap and backlog
• Leading and mentoring the technical team
• Advising non-technical stakeholders on technical decisions
• Identifying trends and insights to improve business performance
• Investigating new data sources for enhanced reporting and forecasting
• Designing and planning new integrations
• Developing AWS infrastructure using the CDK library (TypeScript)
• Building and maintaining data services that are efficient and reliable (TypeScript)
• Collaborating with sales, marketing, and logistics teams to define data needs, collection processes, and reporting outputs
• This is a hybrid role based in Helsinki.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading a technical team
• Experience managing technical projects
• Hands-on software development experience
• Strong independent working and task prioritization skills
• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IAC)
• Strong TypeScript and SQL skills
• Understanding of performance, scalability, and security in cloud environments
• eCommerce industry experience is a plus
