Job Description

Join us as R&D Sensory & Consumer Science Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in September 2025! In this internship, you will support the Sensory & Consumer Science Team and assist with designing sensory and/or consumer research studies, using statistical techniques for data interpretation. 📊

Your Key Activities Will Be

• 📝 Working on a personal project, confirmed within the first month of placement based on your interest and current project work.
• 📋 Supporting the set-up and briefing of research studies.
• 🔍 Analysing sensory and/or consumer studies (using various statistical tools).
• 📊 Reporting and presenting results to relevant teams.

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• 🎓 Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Food Science or Technology with a background or understanding of Sensory and/or Consumer Science.
• 💻 Skillset: Strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in English (spoken and written) are a must — hands-on experience with food research activities is a plus!
• 🌟 Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
• 📅 Commitment: You’re ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship, preferably from September 1st to the end of February 2026.
• 🏢 Availability: You can commit to 5 days per week, including four days in-office and one day remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

• Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet's and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
• You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
