Python Developer

Equal IT is partnered with an exciting FinTech who are building real-time payment systems that actually work!

We are looking for another Senior Engineer to join our team who is comfortable getting deep into the backend, building reliable systems, scaling stuff that’s already working, and helping figure out what comes next.

You Will Spend Your Days

• Writing Python — obviously 😄
• Building services that talk and process authentication/payment flows
• Scaling the platform and improving performance
• Owning architecture decisions with the rest of the team
• Shipping features that directly impact thousands of users (and counting)

Your Technical Background

• 3+ years building backend systems (doesn’t have to be all Python, but strong Python helps)
• Cloud experience ideally with Google Cloud but AWS or Azure will work
• Microservices and service-oriented stuff with a big bonus if done at scale

On top of that.....

• Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD
• GO or modern JavaScript Frameworks (frontend knowledge is useful, but not required)
• Security best practices around transactions, auth, encryption, etc.
• Experience in FinTech, or building systems where things really have to work
