Senior Security Engineer

Equal IT are working with several Stockholm-based tech companies where security is treated as a core part of engineering, not an afterthought, and where decisions are made early rather than bolted on later.

No theatre, no checkbox compliance, no endless governance loops.

You will be working directly with experienced engineers across multiple client environments by shaping how security is designed, not just how it is reviewed.

You will:

• Embedding security into CI/CD pipelines from first principles
• Hardening cloud and container environments (across AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Leading threat modelling sessions that influence real architectural decisions
• Designing and implementing controls that teams don’t work around
• Operating in environments where “shift-left” is already understood, not something you need to sell

This is likely a good fit if you:

• Have 5+ years in cloud security, DevSecOps, or a similar senior-level role
• Are hands-on and comfortable going from architecture to implementation
• Understand containers, orchestration, and modern cloud-native systems in practice
• Have strong technical judgement and can explain why something matters
• Speak fluent Swedish
