About the Role:

Job Title: Senior BackEnd Developer

Project Summary: A Senior Back End Developer will be working from Burlingame, CA in hybrid mode. This is a pure0020backend developer role with strong experience with Python and C++.

Responsibilities:

• Design core, backend software components.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Maintain, analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system infrastructure.
• Establish self as an owner of a particular component, feature or system with expert end-to-end understanding.
• Successfully complete projects at large scope while maintaining a consistent high level of productivity.

Required Skills:

• Proficient with Python, C/C++ or Hack programming languages.
• Experience maintaining, analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of backend systems.
• Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes.

Desirable Skills:

• MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Experience building and shipping high quality work and achieving high reliability.
• Experience owning a component or feature in a distributed system.

Location: Burlingame, CA (Hybrid)

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $160,000 – $170,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
