We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to support our international client in the delivery of complex and large-scale IT projects. The role involves leading cross-functional initiatives across areas such as infrastructure, cloud transformation, enterprise applications, and organizational change. This is a long-term opportunity within a multinational environment, requiring strong coordination skills and a solid background in IT project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, structure, and implement complex, cross-functional IT projects (local and international), ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget
  • Apply best practices in project management (e.g. PMP, Scrum), while aligning with internal methodologies and standards
  • Coordinate multi-stream initiatives, manage associated risks, and ensure effective resource allocation across project phases
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and value streams as a Scrum Master (e.g. stand-ups, sprint reviews)
  • Manage stakeholder communication and ensure alignment with relevant standards, specifications, and best practices
  • Support decision-making processes by preparing project documentation and presentations in line with internal quality and compliance requirements
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external project stakeholders
  • Define and track project KPIs in collaboration with key stakeholders, and integrate lessons learned
  • Lead cross-functional teams, working closely with sponsors and senior stakeholders
  • Oversee vendor collaboration, ensuring effective management of third-party suppliers
  • Use internal project management tools to monitor project progress, perform regular reporting, and manage cost planning

Skills & Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Technical Studies, or a related field (Master’s level preferred)
  • Relevant project management certification (e.g. PMI, IPMA Level B) is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
  • Proven experience using project management tools; familiarity with ServiceNow (ITBM/SPM) is a plus
  • At least 9 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in project or program leadership roles
  • Experience leading complex international IT projects such as cloud transformation, SAP ERP implementation, enterprise platform rollouts, or organizational change initiatives
  • Broad understanding of IT domains including infrastructure, applications/platforms, integration, and security
  • Strong technical affinity with the ability to understand and manage IT-driven initiatives
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken) required and German language skills
