Summary Of The Role

The Software Development Engineer is a highly skilled technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. In this role you play a crucial role in the entire software development lifecycle, from analyzing specifications to testing and maintaining the final product. In a small organization your contribution will have great impact on scaling one of Amadeus' latest portfolio products using modern software technologies. The Software Development Engineer is expected to demonstrate technical excellence, champion expertise, solve complex problems, and contribute to innovation within the team.

In this role you'll, have a chance to;

• Gather user requirements for new or upgraded software solutions, ensuring a clear understanding of user needs.
• Design and propose technical solutions for validation, following Amadeus standards. Develop software and implement databases accordingly.
• Participate in product validation, making adjustments as needed. Collaborate with Product Managers and Support specialists to debug existing solutions.
• Contribute to defining software development principles and ensure clear documentation for future reference and maintenance.
• Mentor and coach developers to help them grow professionally.
• Promote best practices and high-quality coding standards across the team.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, applying a structured approach to find solutions.
• Analyze and optimize software performance to enhance efficiency and user experience.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve system-wide issues.
• Anticipate potential challenges and implement preventive measures to ensure system stability.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions that address user needs and business goals.
• Identify opportunities to streamline development processes (SDLC) and reduce costs.
  
  

About the ideal candidate;

• Experience with Kotlin, Java, and Spring (Boot/Cloud/Batch/Integration) frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and experience with Test Containers.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform Services, Kubernetes, and microservice architecture.
• Experience with message queue systems like Apache Kafka, Google PubSub, or RabbitMQ.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and SaaS applications.
• Familiarity with Vue.js.
