IT/OT Engineer - Pharmaceutical

Are you an experienced IT/OT Engineer looking for a dynamic, long-term role in a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing environment?

We are currently partnered with a leading pharmacetucal company in Cork looking to bring on an expereinced Engineer to support and maintain critical IT and OT systems within a GMP-regulated facility. This is a hands-on role blending project delivery and daily operations—ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, collaborative environment and a wide technical scope.

This is an initial 12 month contract engagement based in Cork (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support and project delivery across IT/OT systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across hardware, networks, domains, and applications
• Manage infrastructure components including servers, workstations, and network hardware
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system integrity in a GMP setting
• Maintain and update system documentation (URS, DS, validation protocols)

Key Requirements:

• 10+ years’ experience in IT/OT roles (support + projects)
• Background in pharma, manufacturing, or GMP-regulated environments (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Networking (Ethernet LAN/WiFi), Cisco hardware (deployment/support), Windows OS (Win10/11, Server 2008–2022), Active Directory & Group Policy, Hyper-V management, Dell server/workstation hardware, IT/OT Cybersecurity (PaloAlto/Cisco Firewalls), and Cabling (copper and fibre Ethernet)
• Excellent documentation and validation experience
