The software has 35000 end users and is built by a talented team of developers in an R&D environment.

They’re looking for a Software Architect capable of growing into a Director of Engineering role in future.

Tasks:

• Software architecture, taking a macro-view of the complex technical environment
• Technical leadership of a small team of developers
• Some 3rd level support and consulting with existing customers
• Overseeing the continuous integration (CI/CD)

The successful candidate needs to be patient, the environment is complex and takes time to grasp.

Requirements:

• A strong background in development, ideally using Java
• Good knowledge of software architectures and modelling
• Excellent German language skills

The team live in the region of Heidelberg and mostly work from home, occasionally visiting the office when necessary.
