Alcon is the global leader in innovative eye care, offering Surgical & Vision Care solutions. You will join the dynamically developing Alcon Digital Hub as a member of the Generative AI Team. In the position of Data Science Trainee Early Careers Program, you will help solve business problems by delivering Generative AI solutions to our Business Partners.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Developing Python code using Visual Studio Code to ensure optimal functionality and performance in AI-driven applications.
  • Leveraging Data Science frameworks within Cloud Computing Microsoft AI Azure Services for scalable model deployment and analysis.
  • Developing and analyzing text-based datasets, fine-tuning language models, and generating outputs using Python-based Generative AI frameworks.
  • Exploring New Generative AI solutions to innovate our operational efficiencies.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree Student in Computer Science or in other STEM field.
  • Working knowledge of Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, sklearn, pytorch, langchain) and Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • Understanding of statistical inferences, traditional machine learning algorithms, time-series analysis, statistical simulation, and neural networks.
  • Great at solving problems in a collaborative environment, with a passion for overcoming complex challenges.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English.
