Job Title: Python Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack features with an emphasis on Python-based backend development.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend components and data flows.
• Work closely with analysts and engineering teams to enhance a campaign management platform.
• Integrate frontend interfaces developed with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Develop scalable solutions using AWS Serverless architecture (Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB).
• Optimize performance and maintain best practices for security and code quality.

Technical Skills Required:

• Python (80% backend focus) – Strong experience building APIs and services.
• React, TypeScript, JavaScript – Frontend integration (approximately 40% of the stack).
• Solid understanding of AWS Serverless technologies: Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with PySpark and AWS Glue for ETL/data transformation tasks.
• Prior experience at Capital One or in a financial services environment.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid Role; Needs to work 3 days from Office in a week). Can consider for McLean - VA.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $160,000– $170,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
