What’s in it for you?
Salary: 80-90k + Shares
Impact: Ownership over your work and a clear link between input and outcome
Working arrangements: Fully remote or hybrid
Why This Role?
You’ll be working on real problems in a sport you actually care about, building predictive models that aren’t just for show, but are used to make real-world decisions. If you’re someone who gets a kick out of combining sport, data, and markets, this will be right up your street.
The Opportunity
This is a chance to get in early at a sports analytics start-up that’s going deep on golf. You’ll be part of a small, focused team building predictive models from shot-level data to full tournament outcomes.
The work touches everything—from performance modelling to market pricing—and you'll be collaborating closely with people who know the space inside out. The product is already being used by some of the biggest names in the game, and you’ll help push it further.
What They’re Looking For
- Strong Python skills and experience with statistical or ML-based modelling
- 3+ years of experience
- Comfortable working with sports data—bonus if you’ve done it in a research or betting context
- A solid grasp of how betting markets work
- Ideally, you know the sport well enough to spot something odd in a dataset before the model does
- A self-starter who is curious, analytical, and happy to figure things out without a detailed spec
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building and refining predictive models using detailed golf data
- Designing strategies informed by a mix of stats, machine learning, and real-world nuance
- Interpreting betting market data to improve model accuracy and drive insight
- Working in a lean, ambitious environment where your work has clear impact and fast feedback
Perks
- Remote flexibility and generous time off
- A tonne of learning and growth opportunity
- Work closely with experts in both golf and analytics
