Requirements:

— At least 3 years of working experience in a similar field, e.g., being a CCO/CRO, compliance officer, a risk analyst/officer, etc. of a CASP or a financial institution.

— Strong educational background in law, finance, economics, risk management, business administration, or a related field.

— Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for CASPs.

— Analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

— Deep understanding of the crypto market, blockchain technology, and associated risks.

— CCO should have expertise in AML/CTF frameworks.

— Relevant certifications (would be a plus):* Certifications such as the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) can demonstrate expertise and commitment to the field.

Responsibilities:

— Develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures, and prepare necessary legal documents and compliance reports.

— Ensure that products, services, processes, and tools are fully compliant with regulatory standards and best industry practices.

— Advise on compliance-related projects, including the integration of compliance tools.

— Liaise with regulators and external auditors on compliance matters, ensuring effective communication and reporting.

— Organize training sessions for employees on compliance policies and regulations to foster a culture of compliance within the organization.

— Monitor and assess compliance risks to recommend effective mitigation strategies.

— In case of absence of the MLRO, the CCO may substitute MLRO, until the MLRO returns to the duties, or a new MLRO is appointed.
