Lead Java Software Engineer

Our client is a global technology platform transforming the job search experience for millions of users. With engineering hubs across Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Tokyo, Singapore, Dublin, and Vancouver, they operate in a distributed development model built for scale and reliability.

This project supports the Platform Teams, who focus on delivering robust, scalable integrations with major Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). The work involves building high-performance backend services, designing integration flows, and ensuring reliable data exchange between systems using industry-standard APIs.

IF YOU ARE

• Experienced with 5+ years in Java development
• Adept in using Spring Boot for building microservices architectures in production environments
• Proficient in building and consuming REST APIs with exposure to ATS or HR tech domains
• Skilled in React.js for maintaining and troubleshooting user-facing components
• Aware of frontend behavior as a signal for UI adjustments or debugging
• Knowledgeable in how API structure and response formats influence frontend rendering
• Proficient in collaborating with remote teams across time zones to ensure effective handoffs and accountability
• Aware of integration patterns, including retries, fallbacks, rate limits, and webhook handling for frontend support
• Demonstrating English proficiency at an upper-intermediate level
• Familiar with MongoDB and document-based data schemas (nice to have)
• Exposed to Kafka or similar messaging systems for event-driven architectures (as a plus)
• Understanding secure integration design, including token-based authentication and system-level permissions (as a bonus)
