Software Engineer (PHP)

Strategic Staffing Solutions International’s client is a recognized leader in providing comprehensive hiring support services that streamline workloads and address key recruitment needs. They offer global screening services in over 200 countries, specializing in background checks and screening. Originally established as a California C-Corporation, the company is now headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

Since the company continues to expand its presence in Lithuania, they are currently seeking a Software Engineer.

What you will do:

• Enhance the existing PHP web-based platform and build new greenfield products using Python and MySQL on AWS using microservices, serverless, and other relevant architecture.
• Build AI solutions using OpenAI (no prior experience is required).
• Build unit tests and develop high-quality and maintainable software.
• Adhere to best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in the design and implementation of software solutions.
• Document software design, development processes, and code to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to suggest new solutions.

What you will need:

• 3-5+ years of experience in web application development.
• 3+ years of experience in back-end development using PHP.
• 1+ years of experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript and Vue.js.
• Experience with async frameworks, like Aiohttp or FastAPI.
• Expertise in REST API programming.
• Experience in MySQL or other database programming.
• Experience with any Git-based source control.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes.
• Bachelor’s degree.
