Manager-UX and Product

We are looking for a Manager–UX and Product for our client who is one of the largest governmental organisations in the UAE.

The Manager-UX & Product will be responsible for leading user experience initiatives across digital platforms, ensuring the delivery of intuitive, seamless, and engaging digital experiences.

This position has a contract duration until the end of the year and can be renewed based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

• Develop and maintain a Design System, setting standards, processes, and workflows across all digital touchpoints (e.g., website, live chat, WhatsApp)
• Build UX strategies using Design Thinking methodologies to enhance customer experience and meet business KPIs
• Assign, monitor, and report on project tasks and outputs
• Identify risks early, manage resource dependencies, and propose solutions to avoid operational disruptions
• Work with stakeholders and agencies to continuously improve UX strategies and processes

Research and Analysis

• Map out customer pain points and develop detailed journey maps
• Analyze Voice of Customer (VoC) data and other feedback sources to better understand user behaviors
• Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing
• Interpret research findings to uncover insights that will improve digital experiences

Design and Prototyping

• Lead the creation of user personas, flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes
• Ensure all designs align with brand standards and deliver excellent usability
• Translate business needs into user-centric solutions by collaborating with internal teams and external partners

Testing and Iteration

• Organize and manage usability tests to validate design approaches
• Collect user feedback, analyze testing outcomes, and iterate on designs accordingly

Collaboration, Vendor Management, and Leadership

• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on user experience excellence
• Work closely with Digital, Brand & Communications, Business Technology, and other units to align UX initiatives with business goals
• Manage external agencies and ensure SLA adherence, performance monitoring, and financial oversight
• Promote user-first thinking across the organization by advocating for UX best practices
• Facilitate design thinking workshops with internal teams and external partners when required
• Oversee contract creation and amendments with supply chain and legal teams to ensure UX goals are supported
• Regular collaboration with junior, middle, and senior management
• Close engagement with UX vendors and service providers

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Centered Design, or a related discipline
• Professional certification in UX is preferred
• 7–10 years total experience, with 5–7 years specializing in UX/UI design
• Previous experience within service industries, large organizations, aviation, or UX/design agencies
• Proven leadership in UX/UI projects
• Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, usability, and UX research
• Proficient with tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar platforms
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to present ideas clearly to all levels of stakeholders
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum work environments is advantageous
• Must have a portfolio showcasing previous UX work and processes
