Project Manager – GMP Automation & Validation (Switzerland)

ETR are currently seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead GMP automation and validation projects in Switzerland for our client.This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing engineering company with a strong international presence and a focus on life sciences and regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the feasibility of new projects during early-phase planning
• Define detailed project plans (scope, timelines, resources, costs)
• Monitor project execution and provide regular progress updates
• Track project costs and ensure budget adherence
• Lead, support, and coach cross-functional project teams
• Set priorities and adapt plans as needed
• Maintain communication with clients and key stakeholders
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure project delivery aligns with quality and compliance expectations

Profile & Skills:

• Technical background in automation or process engineering
• Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, hands-on mindset
• Flexible and results-driven, especially in dynamic and evolving environments
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong planning and prioritization skills
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as P&IDs and control system specifications

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in automation, validation, or process engineering (DCS, PLC, or HMI systems)
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing projects
• Proficient in English (C1 level or higher)
• Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, with knowledge of cGMP compliance, is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Emerson DeltaV is a strong advantage
• Additional language skills in Spanish or German are a plus
