Oracle Apex Developer

As an Oracle Apex Developer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day development and support of the Oracle Apex Tools environment and installed products. You will work with the development leads to develop and support stable and qualitative Oracle Apex solutions. The Oracle Apex developer will report directly to the Development Lead. The Oracle Apex Developer is part of the Oracle Development team to formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. The Oracle Apex developer provides supports where needed and assists in the integration of new IT solutions. Utilizing Oracle Apex built in features such as pages, regions, items, lists, tabs, icons and other applications items: designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs. Develops critical components of the solution, including but not limited to, security rules, infrastructure, custom adapter implementation, database interaction and application interfaces. Must implement industry best business practices, Social Insurance, and information assurance policies regarding system coding, and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Extensive experience in building, designing, maintaining and supporting oracle APEX solutions
• Using scripting languages (JavaScript is preferable), management tools, content creation and formatting tools to enrich the produced solutions
• Conferencing with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs and develop content
• Developing and validating test routines and schedule to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and devices types as well as consider and solve compatibility issues.
• Designing and developing mobile friendly applications using Oracle APEX
• Creating consistent and high performance database objects
• Creating and implementing plug-ins
• Creating REST and SOAP web services
• Creating customized advanced reports

Desired Skills:

• Extensive experience in developing high standard APEX solutions
• Solid experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
• Solid CSS and HTML skills
• Deep understanding of UI/UX standards
• Solid background in Data Modelling
• Deep understanding of data correctness, consistency, integrity, security and encryption (data and code)
• Extensive knowledge in web application security (on all levels: Web Server, Database and Frontend)
• Web servers (Tomcat, WLS) administration skills is advantage
• Good knowledge in oracle database performance and tuning

Experience:

• 5+ Years’ experience in oracle APEX
• 2+ Years’ experience in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• 5+ Years’ experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL
• 2+ Years’ experience in Jasper Reports, BIRT reports and / or Oracle BI publisher

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related Technical degree or Technology Experience

Assets

• Preferred to be oracle certified professional in application development (OCA + OCP)
