Back End Developer

• Mid level Back End (Node) and AWS Engineer
• Hybrid 3/4 days on site in South Melbourne
• Award winning fintech business

Technical Requirements:

• Node.js (core expertise), React.js (nice to have)
• AWS serverless: Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, S3, SQS, SNS
• AWS networking: VPC, subnets
• Databases: DynamoDB (NoSQL), MySQL/Aurora Serverless (SQL)
• CI/CD & Git: GitHub, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, CodeCommit
• Strong grasp of scalable backend architecture

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain backend services in AWS using Node.js
• Enhance and support REST APIs
• Optimize for performance, reliability, and reusability
• Write and update API/tech documentation
• Contribute to design sessions and sprint planning
• Evaluate and apply new tools/tech as needed

This role is for Australian based developers who are already living in Melbourne, and is open to citizens, permanent residents and visa holders (not including the working holiday visa).
