Network Engineer

• 12 months contract plus 12 months extension

Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Network Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for the support and maintenance of a global IT network. The successful candidate will be involved in operational maintenance, incident response, service requests, and project work to implement new digital services and enhance network services.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day level 2 and 3 support and administration activities for a global network.
• Respond to system faults, configuration updates, monitor system health, and maintain disaster recovery manuals.
• Install, configure, and maintain Cisco and Fortinet hardware and software platforms.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new hardware, software, and processes.
• Manage system upgrades and maintain security posture.
• Ensure network service documentation and SOPs are up to date.
  
  

Skills & Experience Required

• Demonstrated technical understanding and experience with Fortinet, Cisco, and Azure networking services and products.
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
• Operational experience and troubleshooting skills with global network communications deployments.
• Knowledge of telecommunications standards and protocols.
• Experience with network authentication and encryption protocols.
• Cybersecurity awareness and experience in implementing security measures.
