Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Payment Gateway Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure and efficient online payment processing systems within the IGaming industry in Dubai. As a Payment Gateway Developer, you will be responsible for integrating payment gateways with various e-commerce platforms, ensuring robust security for financial transactions, troubleshooting payment-related issues, and optimizing gateway performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless payment operations and maintain high standards of security and compliance in the gaming sector.

Key Responsibilities

Payment Gateway Integration:

Integrate payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) with gaming websites, in-app purchases, subscription services, and other related platforms.

Collaborate with game development teams and merchants to ensure seamless integration and optimal payment experiences for players.

Development & API Management

Design, develop, and maintain APIs and software systems for secure payment processing in the gaming ecosystem.

Ensure the APIs are secure, reliable, and scalable to handle high transaction volumes from in-game purchases, subscriptions, and virtual items.

Security & Compliance

Implement and enforce robust security protocols to protect sensitive payment data in compliance with gaming industry standards.

Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other industry standards to guarantee secure transaction processing within gaming platforms.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

Troubleshoot and resolve payment processing issues specific to gaming environments, such as failed transactions, in-game purchases, chargebacks, and disputes.

Provide timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to game transactions and user experiences.

Optimization

Continuously optimize payment gateway performance for scalability and reliability, ensuring smooth in-game and subscription payments for players.

Ensure fast, secure, and efficient payment transactions across gaming platforms and devices.

Testing & Quality Assurance

Conduct thorough testing of payment gateway integrations and processes specific to gaming platforms.

Ensure high accuracy, reliability, and security by implementing extensive testing protocols and resolving issues effectively.

Documentation

Maintain comprehensive documentation of payment gateway integrations, including database schemas, API documentation, and development processes.

Regularly update documentation to reflect changes, new features, and improvements in payment systems within the gaming environment.

Collaboration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game developers, operations, and merchant support, to address payment-related issues specific to the gaming industry.

Provide technical support and expertise to ensure smooth payment processes for players, game publishers, and merchants.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Node.js, PHP, or similar languages.

Databases: Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).

APIs: Experience in API design, development, and integration, specifically with payment gateways.

Security & Compliance: Knowledge of payment security protocols, PCI DSS standards, and secure data transmission practices.

Problem-Solving: Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in the context of payment processing issues, particularly in the gaming industry.

Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.

Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy, reliability, and security in payment processing systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with popular payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Square) in the gaming or entertainment industry.
• Familiarity with payment technologies such as 3D Secure, tokenization, mobile wallet integrations, and virtual item transactions.
• Experience with cloud platforms and payment processing at scale, especially in high-traffic gaming environments.
