Network Test Engineer

Job Description:

A detailed oriented Automation Engineer to join our Network Management testing team for Gateway devices. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of networking concepts, experience in test automation using Python and Robot Framework, and a familiarity with load testing tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Robot Framework and Python.
• Perform functional, regression, and load testing on L2/L3 networking protocols.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure end-to-end test coverage of CNM features.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and support ongoing test infrastructure improvements.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor results.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support the troubleshooting and resolution of issues.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, especially Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (e.g., Ethernet, IP, OSPF, SNMP, VLANs).
• Hands-on experience with Python scripting.
• Experience or familiarity with the Robot Framework and Flutter (optional but a plus point)
• Experience in CI/CD environments (e.g., Jenkins).
• Exposure to load testing tools or frameworks for network performance benchmarking.
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• Experience in testing cloud-based or virtualized networking solutions.
• Exposure to SNMP, NetConf, or other network management protocols is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VirtualBox, VMware).
• Experience with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
