Adhara is an exciting new technology company focused on building real time solutions for multi-currency global liquidity management, FX and international payments, based on tokenized money over smart contract-enabled, decentralized ledgers.

Adhara’s primary audience includes financial institutions and corporate treasuries, offering them compatible and compliant banking grade solutions based on enterprise blockchain technology and smart contracts.

We have built a talented team of developers, platform engineers and product experts and are now looking for someone to join our very experienced platform team as a Junior Platform Engineer.

About the Candidate

• You should have a passion for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and using the best tools available to monitor and maintain world class cloud infrastructure.

Requirements and Skills

• Fluent in English – reading, writing and speaking.
• Right to legally work in either the UK, South Africa or Spain.
• Proven experience automating, managing and securing mission critical infrastructures in public clouds and private data centers.
• Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++ or Go.
• Strong Linux skills.
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and GitOps.
• Experience with Continuous Delivery tools and pipeline automation to manage software lifecycle.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud service.
• Experience administering Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience deploying and scaling applications in Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Ability to work with a team while self-managing and taking responsibility.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
• Open-minded and willing to learn.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated the ability to work independently.
• Ability to evaluate and plan tasks accordingly.
• A team player with excellent communication skills

About the Role

Platform engineers are responsible for keeping all user-facing services and other Adhara production and development systems running smoothly. Platform engineers are a blend of pragmatic operators and software craftspeople that apply sound engineering principles and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, operational discipline and mature automation to our environments and the Adhara codebase

Location

This role is based in the UK, Spain or South Africa. Adhara has a remote first policy meaning your primary workplace can be a remote workplace, there may be an occasional need for in-person meetings and planning sessions, a few times a year.
