Description
Amazon is looking for a Senior Program Manager to drive carbon reduction in our Brazil transportation operations including through adoption of Low Carbon Fuels and Electrification, as part of our Rest of World (ex North America, Europe) Operations Sustainability team. This role is based in Brazil.
You will develop and implement a plan alongside local and global operations leaders and partner teams to deliver strong year-on-year progress toward Amazon's commitments set out in the Climate Pledge. As well as owning this plan for Brazil, you will work closely with sustainability leaders in other countries to leverage scale and best practices.
The ideal candidate has experience working with zero/low-carbon technologies and a proven track record of leading successful sustainability projects, and/or relevant experience in logistics, last mile, fulfilment or Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) operations. Familiarity with the region, low-carbon technologies and delivering change in organizations are an advantage.
Additionally, this candidate has the ability to think strategically, navigate complex and ambiguous challenges, manage large-scale projects across different technologies and stakeholder groups, and collaborate and influence effectively.
Key job responsibilities
Operations Sustainability forms part of Rest of World Central Programs, covering all of Amazon Stores' operating regions outside North America and Europe. Our team sets the sustainability strategy for these regions and works to deliver measurable year-on-year progress toward our long-term sustainability goals, in partnership with operations leaders and related teams, working closely with global and other regional sustainability leaders.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute plans to drive technology deployment and improvement in operational metrics toward short- and long-term sustainability goals.
- Guide operational teams on how to reduce emissions, plan their budgets, and secure resources for decarbonization.
- Develop and implement investments in zero/low-carbon fuels and transportation technologies in Brazil.
- Engage in public-private partnerships and industry coalitions to unlock innovative solutions. Partner with Public Policy teams to identify key policy opportunities to accelerate zero/low-carbon fuels and transportation technology adoption
- Drive broad engagement among leaders and Amazon colleagues at all levels to influence decision-making and daily behaviors toward sustainability goals.

Basic Qualifications
- Working experience of program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and Portuguese (C1+)
- Working experience driving process improvements experience.
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.
