Full Stack Engineer (Frontend focused)

Fullstack Engineer (React.js & Next.js focused) - Dubai 🇦🇪

We're looking to speak with elite Fullstack Engineers with 5 years of experience for a role with a key client of ours. This role will be heavily focused on the Frontend, with React.js, Next.js and Micro-frontends. This will be an 80% / 20% split in favour of Frontend, with Node.js on the backend.

Our client is building an AI SaaS platform, with a global customer base. These guys are well-funded by global investors and going through an exciting hyper-growth phase.

To be a good fit for this role, you must be product-focused. You'll be working on Maps, cloud-based solutions and you will be integrating frontend applications with backend services with REST APIs.

Tech Stack:

React (Next.js), CSS, HTML, Mixpanel, Node.js (NestJS), MongoDB, Typescript, AWS, SQL, Javascript, Kubernetes

The role:

• Develop and maintain frontend components (React/Next.js) and backend services (Node.js/NestJS)
• Collaborate with the team to translate product requirements into technical solutions
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and user experience
• Participate in code reviews to uphold best practices and share knowledge
• Design and implement APIs and microservices
• Document code and processes for maintainability

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience, with a strong background in frontend development
• Must be extremely resourceful and capable of taking ownership with the ability to deliver on your own without guidance
• Must have proven experience in product environments, handling large number of events
• Proven experience with scalability, optimisation and performance
• Strong preference for exceptional skills on the frontend with React (Next.js is a preference), TypeScript, HTML/CSS
• 2+ years of experience with Node.js (Nest.js is a plus)
• Good knowledge of MongoDB and SQL
• Solid understanding of REST API design
• Unit/integration testing experience with Jest, Cypress, etc
