Senior Java Software Engineer

Senior Software Developer | Industry Leader | $150,000+ Super

We are working with a leading Health-tech client based in Essendon, who are looking to grow their tech teams by adding 2x Senior Java Developers.

They have lots of exciting projects starting up, and are using latest technologies to hit their goals.

What do you need?

• Proficient in core Java, with strong language fundamentals and hands-on coding expertise.
• Skilled in using JDBC for database connectivity and operations (experience not based on JPA).
• Extensive experience working with MySQL and SQL, including advanced querying and schema design.
• Consistently follow recognised industry standards and best practices in software development.
• Well-versed in secure coding practices, with strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top Ten).
• Solid understanding of client/server architectures and object-oriented design principles, supporting future scalability and enhancements.

What will you do?

• Contribute actively to code review processes to ensure code quality and consistency.
• Create clear and relevant technical documentation aligned with professional software solutions.
• Follow established source control procedures to maintain code integrity and version tracking.
• Implement and maintain effective practices for problem management and root cause analysis of code-related issues.
• Ensure system reliability, stability, and compliance with audit and security standards.
• Deliver high-quality, production-ready code on schedule, aligned with business requirements and design specifications.

Salary

They offer an excellent salary of $150,000 + Super.

Location

2x per week - Melbourne
