DevOps Engineer

Role Specifications and requirements

• Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripts using Bicep to automate Azure resource provisioning.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure performance and costs.
• Network design and configuration in a hybrid environment, including Microsoft landing zone hub-spoke network architecture, isolated networking in Azure, DNS (private DNS zones and private DNS resolver), routing, firewalls, network security groups, Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures.

Key Experience

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing, extending, and maintaining software frameworks for tooling development. This includes designing and building frameworks, adding new functionalities, and ensuring their continued functionality.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience of Python development and experience of Azure IaC development, ideally using Bicep.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience of Azure network design and configuration in a hybrid (on-premises and cloud) environment including 15 Microsoft landing zone hub-spoke network architecture, isolated networking in Azure, DNS (private DNS zones and private DNS resolver), routing, firewalls, network security groups, Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the configuration and management of Azure environments including configuring and maintaining monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Capable of working autonomously to produce well engineered solutions and documentation
