About the Company:

I am currently looking for a Freelance Data Scientist to support the expansion of a growing Data Science team within a leading organisation.

About the Role:

In this role, you will be instrumental in building scalable, high-quality AI solutions, partnering closely with stakeholders to deliver innovative generative AI and machine learning products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable machine learning and generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered applications.
• Develop and maintain APIs for processing and categorising data across various formats, including audio and video.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimise performance for deployed models such as chatbots, predictive systems, and customer care solutions.
• Collaborate with internal customers and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
• Contribute to the automation of development and deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure documentation is thorough, supporting reproducibility, maintainability, and compliance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support as needed.

Qualifications:

3–5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related disciplines.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency with Python, Git, and Azure data stack.
• Solid knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI (experience with OpenAI or similar platforms highly desirable).
• Practical experience with MLOps for deployment, monitoring, and model optimisation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
