Project Manager

Overview

As a Project Manager, you will get a chance to lead significant projects for both private and public sector organizations. In this role, you navigate project complexity and deliver your projects on time, on budget, with high quality. You also proactively engage in customer relationship building to stay on the pulse of customer needs and requirements. This allows you to keep the delivery on track, but also to identify new opportunities for further business with the customer. You excel in navigating uncertainty, allowing you to reach project goals even in challenging situations. You have excellent people management, stakeholder management and communication skills, alongside with a twist of business domain and/or technical understanding of what the project is to achieve. You know how to set up and align new teams to focus on project goals.

Responsibilities

• Project planning & execution - Lead the definition of project scope and goals, develop comprehensive plans, monitor progress, and effectively manage risks and dependencies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Team leadership - Effectively allocate and manage resources, provide continuous support and motivation to empower teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Budget management - Estimate and track budgets, control costs, and identify optimization opportunities.
• Reporting & documentation - Maintain clear and structured documentation and ensure timely reporting to all stakeholders.
• Quality assurance - Implement procedures to meet quality standards.
• Customer engagement - Act as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors throughout the project lifecycle, and identify new business opportunities for your organization.
• Pre-sales support - Contribute to business development, proposals and client presentations with your project management expertise
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, with a strong background in agile team leadership
• Previous experience in a consulting or IT vendor environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s or higher is a plus)
• Strong skills in scope, risk, and schedule management
• Leadership capabilities including team motivation and conflict resolution
• Excellent communication, stakeholder, and negotiation skills
• Solid understanding of delivery processes and project lifecycles
• Analytical mindset with proactive problem-solving abilities
• Strong Finnish language skills with strong English skills (C1)
• Relevant certifications (PMP, Prince2, IPMA-C, Agile) are a strong advantage
