🚀 PHP Developer – LAMP Stack | OOPHP | 🚀

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000

Location: Preston (Hybrid)

Tech Stack: PHP (OOPHP), MySQL, Apache, Linux, JavaScript, HTML/CSS

The Role

We’re on the lookout for a PHP Developer who loves clean, scalable code and wants to focus on true object-oriented PHP, not frameworks. This is a backend-heavy role, ideal for someone who enjoys architecting systems from the ground up and wants a voice in technical decision-making.

You'll be working on greenfield development, building new features and improving usability, performance, and scalability across their core platform.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building robust, scalable backend services in pure OOPHP
• Developing and optimising APIs, integrations, and internal tooling
• Collaborating with a close-knit tech team on architecture and system design
• Writing clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance and readability
• Supporting ongoing enhancements and usability improvements

What You’ll Need

• Solid commercial experience with PHP, specifically object-oriented PHP without reliance on frameworks
• Strong understanding of LAMP stack development
• Proficiency in MySQL, RESTful APIs, and vanilla JavaScript
• Appreciation for clean architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns
• Experience working in a collaborative, agile environment
