Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Full Stack Engineer, based in Sydney, NSW. The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, managing both front-end and back-end tasks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the performance and scalability of applications. We are looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about creating transformative digital experiences who thrives in a collaborative environment and is constantly pushing the boundaries to help deliver outcomes that define future industry trends.

Key Responsibilities: 

• front-end platform development: implement scalable, high-performance front-end solutions using React, Next.js, ensuring smooth integration using Backend For Frontend APIs and Service Domain models
• Maintain security best practices: Implement security best practices in the platform ensuring robust protection against vulnerabilities and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions: Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for continuous integration and deployment, enabling fast and reliable feature delivery with minimal friction.
• Perform code reviews: Review code submitted by other engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices, platform standards, and security guidelines. Provide constructive feedback and encourage continuous learning and improvement.
• Deliver impactful solutions: Take ownership of key technical decisions and work with other engineers to ensure the platform is delivering value to CBA teams and ultimately to customers. Address blockers and help solve complex problems.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to deliver features and improvements aligned with business objectives.

Tech Skills: 

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team: 

• Experienced in frontend tech – Next.js
• Experience in Backend tech - .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, Spring Boot
• Expertise with Microservices, Restful API design pattern 
• DevOps and CI/CD – TeamCity, GitHub Copilot
• AWS Cloud – EC2, SNS, S3, Lambda, Certification is a must  
• DevOps and CI/CD – TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Grafana, Prometheus
• AI & Machine learning and LLM knowledge is desired 
• Experience in Redux, Kafka, Banking domain is desired
