DevOps Engineer (GCP) – Core Infrastructure Team | 90% Remote | Vienna/Antwerp Region

A Scale-up European fintech is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its core infrastructure team. The company delivers a modular, API-first SaaS platform used by financial institutions to digitize their end-to-end mortgage origination workflows.

With hubs in Antwerp, Zurich, and Vienna, the company has processed over €1B in mortgage volume across 13+ European clients. It runs on an event-driven, microservice-based architecture with a strong focus on scalability, security, and speed. Backed by major venture funding (Series A closed, A+ underway), the team is now expanding to support growing product complexity and customer demands.

What You’ll Tackle

• Work in a cloud-native environment (GCP primary; AWS also welcome)
• Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub) with continuous deployment and 3-week release cycles
• Deploy and monitor containerized services (Docker a must, Kubernetes a plus)
• Collaborate across teams to provide support, debugging, and tooling
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ArgoCD nice-to-have)
• Help orchestrate efficient multi-environment deployments across regions

What You Bring

• 3+ years in DevOps/infrastructure roles
• Proficiency in Python (preferred), Bash or TypeScript also fine
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and cloud platforms (ideally GCP)
• Strong container knowledge and interest in GitOps workflows
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative, high-communication environment
• Willingness to join an on-call rotation in the future (not active yet)

Location & Flexibility

• Based near Antwerp or Vienna
• Hybrid model: ~1 day per week in the office (1x every 2 weeks is also OK)
