Your Role in Our Journey

As Lead Product Engineer, you will take a key role within our Product Engineering team, owning the technical development of our freshwater generation systems. These systems transform seawater into safe, usable water on-board vessels using cutting-edge reverse osmosis technology.

Reporting to the Manager, Product Engineering, you’ll play a crucial part in shaping Evac’s freshwater product catalogue and driving continuous improvement across our product lines.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the standard product and component catalogue for the freshwater product line
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to develop and update our standard systems and products
• Drive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders—including product line management, sales, delivery, and sourcing—to ensure cost-efficiency, on-time delivery, and product quality
  
  

What You Bring To The Team

• Solid experience with reverse osmosis and/or water desalination technologies
• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering or science, with several years of relevant work experience
• Technical know-how in pumps, valves, piping, and instrumentation
• Proven background in product development, product management, or project engineering; commissioning experience is a strong plus
• Familiarity with CAD and PLM tools
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Willingness to travel (including visits to suppliers and onboard vessels)
• A proactive, organized, and collaborative approach with a solution-driven mindset
  
  

Please note: If based in Finland, you will initially work partly or fully from our Hamburg/Norderstedt office during the onboarding period. The role also includes frequent visits to our testing facility in Hyrylä, Tuusula.
