Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

• Define, articulate, and execute a robust multi‑year growth strategy that captures emerging market opportunities and fortifies our competitive advantage.
• Identify and evaluate potential joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions to accelerate expansion in core and adjacent markets.

Operational Oversight

• Direct end‑to‑end operations across trading, logistics, and finance, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and cost optimization.
• Implement rigorous risk‑management frameworks to safeguard trading performance, manage financial exposures, and maintain healthy cash flows.

Market Development & Stakeholder Relations

• Cultivate and deepen relationships with key clients, suppliers, government agencies, banks, and regulatory bodies.
• Champion our brand in high‑level forums, industry conferences, and governmental negotiations.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing leadership team; attract top‑tier talent across trading, logistics, finance, and support functions.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

Executive Experience

Minimum of 5 years in a C‑suite or equivalent leadership role within coal or broader commodity trading.

Market Expertise

In‑depth knowledge of international thermal and metallurgical coal markets, including price dynamics, shipping logistics, and regulatory environments.

Analytical & Risk Skills

Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans, perform financial analysis, and implement comprehensive risk‑management controls.

Language & Education

• Fluency in Russian is necessary to qualify for this role; professional proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, International Trade, or a related discipline.

Mobility

Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally as business needs dictate.
