Project Manager (Contract – B2B or Fixed-Term Until Year-End) | Hybrid – 3 Days/Week Onsite



Responsibilities


  • Manage project communication, preparing and issuing regular project management reports to appropriate audiences and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders
  • Ensure that change control is managed tightly, manage and tracks change requests according to agreed processes
  • Own all project administration and documentation, including plans


Required Skills


  • Ability to manage projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, a level of ambiguity, conflicting priorities and to work proactively in organisations with a start-up environment as well as ability to navigate project delivery within complex established organisations and governance structures.
  • A track record (minimum of 5 years) of owning, managing a range of different business change/transformation projects, including experience of projects involving finance processes and implementation of IT systems.
  • Prior experience of scoping, defining and ensuring delivery of transformation projects, covering, people, process, systems change and service transitions (outsoure/insource).
  • Some experience of the IT project life cycle and the complexities of implementing technology improvements alongside people and process change.
  • Excellent scoping, planning, organisation, prioritising and forecasting skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, budget and within the agreed and corporate governance framework
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively across functions, levels & cultures, with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide clarity and direction on what is to be achieved and influence and align views of others
  • Experience in working alongside subject matter experts and business leads and able to lead project teams and collaborate, across functions & cultures. Ability to manage virtual teams, manage resources without direct line management authorithy.
  • Ability to work independently, take personal ownership of issues and delivery, recognising when to escalate to resolve issues
  • Ability to resolve complex issues through an objective and analytical approach, developing options and negotiating resolutions
  • Good business acumen which enables consideration of the wider impact and dependencies of projects
  • Knowledge of project management tools and systems (i.e. MS Project, Jira)
  • University degree, ideally with an analytical focus
  • A project management qualification (e.g. PMP, Prince2) would be an asset


Preferred Skills


  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Requirement to work minimum of 3 days a week from the office or more depending on project and stakeholder requirements.
  • Role may require some travel
