Trainee - INFORMATION SECURITY

Job Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that integrates with the organization's overall business processes.
• Coordinate with Information Security Champions to identify, classify, and manage information assets securely across the organization.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework, conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring alignment with senior management's strategic goals.
• Define, implement, and continuously enhance operational security controls based on risk assessment findings.
• Develop, review, and update security policies, procedures, and standards in collaboration with business owners, ensuring they align with industry best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Monitor organization-wide compliance with security policies and report ISMS performance metrics to the Information Security Steering Committee (ISSC).
• Assist senior management in fulfilling their information security responsibilities and provide expert guidance on security risks and mitigations.
• Plan, develop, and execute regular security awareness programs, training sessions, and cybersecurity education initiatives for employees, partners, and third parties.
• Ensure compliance with government-mandated security policies and standards, staying updated on regulatory changes.
• Oversee the implementation and enforcement of Information Security Regulations (ISR) within the organization.
• Collaborate with business units, support services, IT teams, and compliance officers to enhance security awareness and align with regulatory and industry compliance requirements.
• Ensure security training and communication initiatives are engaging, fostering a culture of security awareness and behavioral change among employees.
• Ensure employees and third parties acknowledge, understand, and adhere to security policies and procedures.
• Encourage employees to move beyond basic compliance and adopt a security-first mindset in their daily operations.
• Work with relevant teams to implement technical and administrative security controls based on ISO/ISR compliance reports.
• Lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely detection, investigation, containment, and resolution of security incidents and breaches.
• Oversee security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments, ensuring timely remediation of identified risks.
• Stay up to date with emerging security threats, trends, and technologies, recommending security enhancements where necessary.
• Ensure the organization maintains full compliance with ISO standards, ISR, GDPR, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
