Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned IT Project Manager with a strong background in banking and financial services to lead and deliver complex projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles in the banking domain, demonstrating expertise in stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage banking projects from initiation through to successful delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
- Agile Methodology: Implement and manage Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to drive iterative development and continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive resolution of issues and dependencies.
- Resource Allocation: Oversee resource planning and allocation, ensuring optimal utilization of team members and external vendors.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, RAID logs, and post-project evaluations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in project management within the banking or financial services industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project. Familiarity with banking platforms and technologies is advantageous.
- Methodologies: Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations
