Embedded Software Engineer – Renewable Microgrid Control Systems

We are seeking a passionate Embedded Software Engineer to join our client's mission of developing next-generation renewable energy microgrid control systems. Based in Ljubljana, you will be part of a engineering team designing real-time, reliable, and energy-efficient embedded solutions for decentralized energy networks. Your work will directly contribute to the transformation of global energy systems through innovation in embedded software for smart, sustainable power systems.

Core Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in embedded C/C++ programming
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and interrupt-driven systems
• Experience with power systems or energy control applications
• Knowledge of microcontroller platforms (e.g., STM32, TI, NXP)
• Proficiency in hardware-software integration, debugging, and signal analysis (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Experience with renewable energy systems, inverters, or battery management systems (BMS)
• Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) or control algorithms
• Familiarity with power electronics and safety standards (e.g., IEC 61850, ISO 26262)
• Experience with Python or MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation
• Prior work in grid-connected systems or off-grid microgrid controllers
