About The Role

In this role you will become a member of a small, high-performing team of firmware engineers that have full ownership of the embedded C code that controls Tritium’s next generation DC fast chargers. The contributions you make will have a direct impact on the product we deliver to our customers and our reputation as a technology leader.

To be successful in this role you must be capable of developing, enhancing, and debugging new and existing firmware that runs on microcontrollers with simple bare-metal architectures as well as more complex embedded Linux architectures.

About You

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Software, or Mechatronics Engineering, or demonstrated exceptional skills with practical engineering experience
• Experience developing embedded firmware, ideally for customer-shipped products
• Solid understanding of electronic circuits and the ability to read and interpret schematics
• Strong software fundamentals, including architectural design, data structures, memory management, and modular, maintainable code
• Fluent in C programming, especially for bare-metal and embedded Linux environments
• Skilled in writing test plans, unit tests, and simulations to validate code functionality
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for cross-functional collaboration and documentation
• Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting ability, with a focus on reliability and performance
• Detail-oriented and analytical, with a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges
