DevOps Engineer

This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading

Our client is a instantly recognisable utilities provider, looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team to help drive innovation through automation, collaboration, and modern DevOps practices.

We have an initial 5 month contract with view to extend

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud environments that support seamless software development and deployment. You'll work closely with development, operations, and security teams to streamline workflows and optimize performance using cutting-edge technologies and best practices.

• Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Automate workflows and processes to improve the software development lifecycle.

• Act as a technical escalation point, resolving complex issues efficiently while maintaining service desk protocols.

• Implement performance monitoring, cost optimization, and security controls across cloud platforms.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their integration to support strategic goals.

• Foster strong working relationships with internal teams to align cloud services with business needs.
  
  

• Minimum 5 years' experience in DevOps, Systems Administration, or related fields.

• Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).

• Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices.

• Certifications such as Azure/AWS DevOps Engineer or similar are a plus.
