Embedded Systems Engineer – Audio DSP & Smart Voice Assistants

Location: Finland (Helsinki) | Work Type: Hybrid

For one of our client's, we are looking for an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer to work on cutting-edge Audio DSP solutions and Smart Voice Assistant technologies. You will be developing software and firmware for embedded systems with a focus on real-time audio processing, voice recognition, and integration of smart voice interfaces.

Core Skills

• Strong experience with Audio DSP (e.g., TI C6000, Qualcomm Hexagon DSP)
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
• Deep understanding of real-time signal processing
• Experience with Voice Recognition systems (e.g., Google Assistant SDK, Alexa Voice Service)
• Familiarity with audio codecs and standards (e.g., AAC, Opus, MP3, WAV)
• Development on ARM Cortex or DSP-based microcontrollers
• Proficiency with embedded Linux or RTOS for audio applications
• Experience in low-latency and high-performance systems
• Familiar with tools like MATLAB/Simulink for DSP algorithm development

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Experience with voice assistant frameworks (e.g., Snips, Dialogflow)
• Familiarity with machine learning for speech enhancement and noise cancellation
• Knowledge of Bluetooth audio and Wi-Fi audio streaming protocols
• Experience in audio quality tuning and speech recognition optimization
• Familiarity with cloud-based speech services and device-to-cloud integration
• Contributions to open-source DSP projects
• Experience in audio hardware integration (e.g., microphones, speakers, audio interfaces)
