Experienced Senior Manager – Fund Controlling

Anderson Wise is pleased to assist an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (Luxembourg-based AIFM) in its search for an experienced Senior Manager – Fund Controlling to oversee fund accounting operations and lead a growing team of fund controllers.

Your areas of responsibility:

Team Management

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Fund Controlling team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage and organize the team's daily activities and project-based work.
• Drive enhancements to policies, procedures, and technology solutions for an efficient Fund Controlling function.
• Develop and implement tools and enablers to support the team’s ongoing activities.

Fund Controlling

• Lead the oversight of delegated Fund Accounting in collaboration with the Conducting Officer for Fund Administration Oversight.
• Review and approve quarterly NAV calculations, Capital Account Statements, and Investor Reporting.
• Oversee and manage the preparation of annual financial statements for investment vehicles and holding companies.
• Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and manage annual audits.
• Supervise tax compliance and FATCA/CRS reporting with outsourced service providers.
• Review and approve capital calls, distributions, and fee calculations.
• Oversee payment processing, cost control, and cash management.
• Monitor fund cash movements, manage liquidity, and build cash flow forecasts.
• Support reporting and investor queries.
• Assist with valuation-related work as required.

Your profile:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics (ACCA or equivalent certification would be a strong asset)
• You have from 8 years of professional experience in Audit combined with Fund Accounting / or controlling in Luxembourg with knowledge of US GAAP and Lux GAAP. An experience within another AIFM or Fund Administrator would be an advantage
• Valuation experience particularly in private equity or similar assets is also an advantage
• You have strong experience and knowledge of Private Equity Funds or other illiquid alternative asset classes
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit with a proven ability to implement new processes and procedures
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Fluent in English
