Information Security Officer

We’re seeking a skilled Information Security Officer to join our client’s dynamic team in Bern. In this senior-level role, you’ll play a key part in enhancing and leading the organization’s information security capabilities. You’ll take ownership of strategic and operational aspects of security, particularly the Information Security Management System (ISMS), and ensure full alignment with regulatory and technical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead initiatives to strengthen the information security function, while supporting the CISO
• Take primary responsibility for the ISMS, ensuring that technical, organizational, and regulatory security requirements are fully met
• Analyse and translate regulatory frameworks (e.g., FINMA) into actionable policies and controls
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Internal Control System (ICS)

Requirements:

• A degree in computer science or a related discipline, with recognized certifications
• Several years of hands-on experience in information security and strong knowledge of security frameworks & standards ( FINMA, NIST, ISO 27001)
• Fluent in both German and English
