Position Overview: The Security Operations Analyst will be responsible for operations and tuning of security tools that identify and detect potentially malicious activity, as well as remediation of threats. The position will work with MDR, EDR, XDR and SIEM solutions to continually enhance detection and response capabilities for our customers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, identifying, investigating, reporting, and mitigating of security threats and risks.
  • Provide Level 2 and third-level support and analysis during and after a security incident.
  • Assist internal client teams and service providers to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Perform incident analysis by correlating data from various sources and determining if a critical system or data set has been impacted or compromised.
  • Participate in security investigations and compliance reviews.
  • May act as a liaison between incident response leads and subject matter experts.
  • Participate in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and information security audits.
  • Participate in the investigations into problematic activity.
  • Respond to security incidents and analyze alerts, logs, and threat cases.
  • Threat Hunting in dark web environments
  • Tune security controls to improve detection and threat mitigation.
  • Effectively manage any security-related incidents by remediation or escalation
  • Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends.
  • Analyze and respond to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities.
  • Keep abreast with security technologies and development within the cybersecurity industry and their impacts on and potential benefits to Compugen and its customers.
  • Attend appropriate training opportunities to keep up with industry trends and career development.
  • Plan, develop and implement vulnerability management program.
  • Documentation of security incident reports, procedures, and processes.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years hands on experience as a Security Operations Analyst/Engineer
  • Have or must be able to pass security clearance(s)
  • GCIH or GCIA or equivalent, SC-200, MS-500, AZ 900
  • Incident handling certification, GCIH or equivalent
  • Great communication and analytical
  • Scripting and programming skills
  • System infrastructure administration skills
  • Prior SOC experience highly desirable
  • Automation of daily security operations
  • Able to create security incident reports, playbooks, runbooks, and other operational guides
  • Experience with threat hunting and forensics
  • Ability to clearly articulate security issues, risks, and best practice to all levels of Compugen and customer staff
  • Excellent at cross-team work and collaboration
